Victory over the Redbrands!

After exploring the Redbrand hideout the Leather Daddies discovered Glasstaff’s workshop. Unfortunately for them, Glasstaff’s rat familiar warned the tricky wizard who fled from his quarters through a secret door. After searching the wizard’s room the group found his hastily closed secret door that led back to the main cavern.

Upon hearing the wizard give orders to the nothic to attack them on site the Leather Daddies were able to cut off the wizard’s escape. The group learned that Glasstaff, the wizard leader of the Redbrands, was actually Iarno Albrek, the Lord’s Alliance wizard thought lost by Sildar Hallwinter! After defeating the turncoat wizard the vile nothic escaped to the ceiling of the cave.

The Leather Daddies then found the slave pens of the Redbrands and after defeating two ruffian guards were able to rescue the remain members of the poor Dendrar family. While escorting the family back to town the newly widowed Mirna Dendrar told the group the location of a valuable heirloom, an emerald necklace, lost in the town of Thundertree after it was invaded by undead.

Nimraleh abandoned her post guarding her temple which allowed the assassin’s entrance and resulted in the death of an old family friend!

The man who inducted Seaben into the Assassin’s Guild wore the same amulet that Nimraleh’s father wore. Was he her demon father in disguise? Lilphina could detect magic coming from the amulet but did not have the spell to discover it’s abilities.

After a relaxing night at the Stonehill Inn the group awoke to the strange sight of a cloud giant castle floating past the town! The group also ran into Ulfgar Longwood, the man they rescued back in Greylocke, at the Shrine of Luck. The group agreed to take on a mission for Sister Garaele and seek out the banshee Agatha in her lair outside the abandoned town of Conyberry. After speaking with Sildar and Phandalin’s Townmaster, Harbin Wester, the group decided to head out along the Tri-Pointe Trail in search of Cragmaw Castle and to root out a group of orcs camping out at Wyvern Tor.

Upon reaching Conyberry the group decided to search out Agatha’s lair. Asking about Bogentle’s spellbook the group learned that Agatha traded the book to a necromancer named Tsernoth from the city of Iriaebor more than a hundred years ago.

After discovering the orc camp at Wyvern Tor, the group defeated the orcs and their ogre and each received 250 XP. The group made it back to the ruins of Conyberry to camp out and heal their wounds.

The Leather Daddies are Born!

The group was hired by Gundren Rockseeker to travel to the Tri-Pointe Trading Post to transport supplies to the frontier town of Phandalin. After impressing Gundren, the dwarf sent them to meet his partner Sildar Hallwinter, a member of the Lord’s Alliance, to get his approval as well. The group met him at Greywater Keep and one of their number, Seaben, was asked to spar with a guard to prove his worth.

After swiftly defeating the guard Sildar agreed to hire the group for the job. The group was instructed to find Warryn Filtchbatter, a gnome who owned a steam-powered river boat, and convince him to take them up the river. Gundren and Sildar left the group in an airship to take care of other business before travelling to Phandalin themselves.
